Mediclinic Southern Africa has officially completed the renaming of Denmar Specialist Psychiatric Hospital to Mediclinic Denmar Mental Health Services. Mediclinic acquired the well-regarded private psychiatric hospital in 2019, and believes that this realignment will reinforce the understanding of the expansion of care available across the care spectrum.
The hospital was founded in 1951 and is a well-recognised private psychiatric hospital in South Africa. It offers a 170 bed private facility catering for psychiatric patients as well as theatre and day clinic facilities. Further treatment options include medication, psychotherapy and compulsory group therapy, as prescribed by the attending doctor or psychiatrist.
Mediclinic Denmar Mental Health Services will continue to operate as before, as an extension of Mediclinic’s continuum of care and we look forward to working alongside the team that are responsible for its success.
