Mediclinic regards the safety and well-being of our patients and staff as of the utmost priority. Since the first reports of the COVID-19 outbreak, we have followed the developments closely, considered the probable scenarios at the highest level and taken all necessary measures to address and prepare for the short- and long-term impact.

Mediclinic believes that keeping the public informed is essential for early diagnosis and appropriate management, and as a result, a number of information sources are available on our website, providing general information and guidelines on issues such as prevention and home care in accordance with the NICD guidelines.

To ensure only those who require testing present themselves to an appropriately equipped testing facility, Mediclinic has also developed a convenient online assessment for testing of individuals to assess their need for COVID-19 screening. This allows the public to understand whether they need COVID-19 testing. In addition, we have launched a Mediclinic COVID-19 Hotline: 0860 24 00 24 to respond to community members needing guidance.

It is important for those who do not require testing to follow the normal process to access healthcare in their community if and when required.

Hospital Management teams and Emergency Centre managers have been readied to deal with all presenting patients and equipped to optimise their existing processes, ensuring the safety of our patients, doctors, employees and service providers.

We would like to emphasise that everyone within the healthcare sector is working together to fight the pandemic. We encourage communities to adhere to the social distancing efforts and only present for medical care where it is deemed necessary, allowing healthcare workers to focus on the areas of greatest need.
