The easy-to-use MyPatients application for your smart device or personal computer is replacing the patient tile and member's site.

What Does the App Offer?

The MyPatients app features include:

  • The ability for practice managers to use the app to access their patients’ information for billing purposes.
  • Secure platform for doctors and practice staff to access real-time patient demographics.
  • Ward round list of all in hospital patients with their location.
  • A clinical coding lookup function and a view of all discharged patients in the last 90 days is included.
  • Separate user access for doctors and practice administrators in line with data privacy requirements.
  • Access to patients clinical diagnostic information including clinical codes.
  • Patient education content

 

Future Functionalities

It will include:

  • Increased clinical information around the patient history and episodes of care.
  • Improved theatre functionality
  • Practice access management control

 

For the Doctor

The MyPatients app provides:

  • A view of admitted patients and their location within the hospital
  • A view of patients admitted across all Mediclinic hospitals (where applicable)
  • Access to other Mediclinic clinical tools that doctors may utilise (e.g. Amplitude and Telehealth).
  • Access to a clinical viewer
  • Access to view the Theatre List
  • An overview of the scheduled theatre cases within a time frame of two weeks prior and two weeks subsequent.
  • A quick link out to other application such as amplitude, telehealth and the clinical viewer.
  • A search option to find information on a patient who has been referred or previously consulted.

 

For the Practice Manager

To adhere to the data privacy requirements, there are separate access logins for doctors and practice managers.

MyPatients app features include:

  • The ability for practice managers to use the app to access their patients’ information for billing purposes.
  • Practice administration staff can see demographic information about a patient.
  • A real-time view of the doctor’s patients within the hospital is available and downloadable.
  • Clinical code search function using ICD, SADA or  CPT codes.
  • Ability to see theatre minutes used.
  • Review discharged patient information up to 90 days post discharge.

Accessing the MyPatients app on your computer or mobile device: Once access has been granted, simply click on this link to navigate to the MyPatients app login screen: https://mypatients.mediclinic.co.za/

Kindly note that there are two roles in the application:

  • Doctors Role: This role grants the user the ability to see demographic and clinical data about the patient.
  • Practice Administration Role: This role grants the user the ability to see demographic information about the patient, as well as an ability to download the information for administrative purposes.

Both roles will log in using the same URL: https://mypatients.mediclinic.co.za/
