Stories received from patients over the past 12 months.  Caroline was singled out or her name appeared in the nominations:

1. After my C-section I experiences a drop in blood pressure and I felt ill. Lightheaded. Weak and in pain.  The nurse showed compassion when she helped me walk. Attempted to.

2. Your nurse are out of this world and I feel Mediclinic must not forgotten because they did good judgment.  I can say all nurses that helped me are kind.  Your nurses are matured and they are not giving each other bad vibes.  I observed how they joked with one another and that is very beautiful just to be surrounded by good spirit.

3. The nurse helped me a lot so basically. 4 star hotel service.  They took very good care of me and my baby.  They also explain everything very good.

5. Mediclinic nursing staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and care for both the mother and our new born.  Medication was promptly and timeously administrated.  We were attended to on time and the aftercare was thorough. We truly felt cared for and we loved the attention. What really stood out was the fact the nurses prompted daddy bonding and allowed daddy to stay past visiting hours.  You have a really compassionate nursing staff.

6. I was deeply touched by the extraordinary care and compassion you demonstrated.  Your kindness and attentiveness made an immense difference to me during a challenging time.  The way you listened, comforted and supported me went beyond simply doing your job.  It showed genuine humanity and heart.  You made me feel cared for helped ease my fear and give me strength.  I will never forget the impact you have made.  Thank you for being an exceptional nurse and for showing me the true meaning of care.

7. The most smiling nurse with a beautiful and joy full personality. Ready to assist you. There are no words to describe the maternity ward nurses. The hospital need a lot of people like Caroline and many others.  The way she talks to you and the smile.  She carry to cheer up patients is remarkable.

8. To be honest, each and every nurse look so nicely and specific attention to my wife and new born. YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT PROFESSIONAL, GENTLE AND special team. So please I’d like to thanked all of you nurses. Kitchen, cleaning and doctors.  Hopefully the next one will be also lucky to born here with all your support. Thanks a lot again.

9. The nurse cared for my new born and wife with incredible gentleness, always checking on their comfort.  She explained every step thoughtfully, respected our wishes and treated us with warmth and patience.  Making our hospital stay feed safe and supported.

10. Every day since in the care of Caroline has been reassuring.  She is excellent with everything that she does.  Really detail, orientated, caring and compassionate and can see that she loves what she is does. Best care I have received thus far. I am grateful.

11. She was there when we first arrive and has been with us on this journey most of the time.  Always happy and friendly and willing to go the extra mile.  My husband and I will remember her forever.  We want to say many thanks to her for the love and care she provided.

12. All the staff in the maternity ward were so helpful and caring during my stay at Mediclinic Swakopmund.  Outstanding work and professional service by all. The nurses, RNs. Care workers and Cleaners are all so appreciated.  Thank you to nurse Caroline, thank you so much.

I would like to bring attention to the Nurse/attendee/caregiver, Mr A Kemba, Surgical Ward B. This person deserves my respect and gratitude. His care and level of empathy exceed my expectations. He helped me through a difficult time. I am so grateful to him. Please give the below aspiration to him, Mr. Kemba:
‘Thank you. Thank you for your ear. You listened with your heart. Thank you for your care; I felt cared for. Thank you for your empathy, for I felt alone and scared.
