Emergency Centre

The 24-hour Emergency Centre is staffed by experienced medical doctors and registered nurses who will be able to assist and support you with any medical emergency. On arrival, each patient is assessed according to the international triage system.

How Triage works

Patients admitted to the emergency centre are assessed, or triaged, according to the severity of their medical condition and categorised by a colour code. This determines the treatment response and makes sure that those most in need of treatment are given priority.

A specialist rota enables the doctor on duty to call upon a wide spectrum of specialist advice and support. Please note that all specialists on call for a specific shift will not necessarily be on-site but will be consulted, when needed.

Neonatal Critical Care Unit / High Care

The units, equipped with the latest medical equipment and technology, comprise high and intensive care beds, and special isolation units, served by highly specialised and dedicated medical specialists and nursing personnel who play an essential role in the treatment and care of the babies within this unit. The unit has a “developmental care” and baby-friendly approach and promotes “Kangaroo Mother Care” for growing babies, actively involving the mother in the care of her baby.

Critical Care Unit / High Care

The availability of modern and highly specialised equipment in the unit, coupled with the vast pool of experience and skills of the medical specialists, nursing personnel and other professionals, make it possible to perform a variety of procedures, ranging from simple diagnostic to more complicated interventional procedures in the Critical Care and High Care Unit.
