Mediclinic Vergelegen can confirm that the mobile testing station for Covid-19 that was based at the hospital will be closed from 1 September 2020.
“While the hospital and testing station have successfully supported the community over the past 5 months, we are now experiencing very low numbers of patients requiring assistance, and as a result felt that the need had passed for the additional testing capacity,” explains Marquin Crotz, Hospital General Manager at Mediclinic Vergelegen. “However, we would like to reassure any individual still requiring testing that they are able to get a referral from their GP who will direct them to the independent pathology service for testing.”
“We would like to assure the public that Mediclinic Vergelegen has measures in place to ensure the continued safety and comfort of our patients, staff and doctors,” Crotz concludes. “We encourage our community not to place their health at risk by delaying care or treatment.”
