Mediclinic Southern Africa will be joining the initiative hosted by the Department of Health and B4SA, calling on South Africans to participate in the vaccination drive on 1 and 2 October 2021.

All Mediclinic vaccination centres will be open on these dates, making the vaccination process even more accessible. Community members can visit our website to identify the most convenient vaccination sites or can visit this link. This also includes details on which vaccine is on offer at that locality.

“We urge our community members to visit and register on the Department of Health’s EVDS registration page if they have not already done so. Then they can visit our Mediclinic website and book a convenient time and date for vaccination at our hospital,” says Mr Jaco Jacobs, Hospital General Manager of Mediclinic Vereeniging. Mediclinic has made booking quick and easy, and you make your booking here.

Mediclinic unequivocally supports the vaccination process based on evidence led research around current vaccines that provides a strong indication of the dramatic impact the vaccine offers as protection against severe illness and the risk of death. This has been demonstrated by many different COVID-19 vaccines and in a number of countries. Many leaders in our community have also supported this drive, such as former Springbok captain, John Smit and former Miss South Africa, Dr Tamaryn Green who share their reasons for being vaccinated.

We believe that by vaccinating and reaching the 70% target, we can protect ourselves, our community, and dramatically reduce the potential impact of a fourth wave expected later in the year.

“We encourage our community to act now, and reap the benefit as we look at the possibility a more open community, where our health is better protected. Please visit our vaccination centre today,” concludes Mr Jaco Jacobs.
