Mediclinic believes that visits from family and friends are an important part of the recovery process of our patients. Therefore we offer “flexible visiting hours” between 09:00 - 20:00, with a resting period (silent & lights off) between 13:00-15:00.

However, nurses are responsible to ensure an environment conducive for the recovery of their patients, so individual visitation might be restricted in the interest of a patient’s wellbeing. Please enquire at the nurses’ station to confirm if the patient is able of willing to receive visitors. Visitors may be asked to leave the room when procedures are carried out in the unit or the room needs to be cleaned; we appreciate your understanding in this regard.

We ask that visitors respect other patients in the room and restrict the number of visitors to two people per bed in general rooms and three visitors in a private room. There are benches outside under the trees where mobile patients can spend time with their visitors.

Silent hospitals promote healing. We ask that you put your mobile on silent while on hospital premises and take calls outside, keep noise to a minimum and supervise accompanying children at all times.

We offer the opportunity for a parent to stay with a young child overnight, information in this regard is given at admission.
