Mediclinic Otjiwarongo is pleased to announce its plans to upgrade and expand its operating theatre and upgrade all bathrooms to ensure a greater experience for our clients and doctors.
Our upcoming building project includes the upgrade of the entire operating theatre complex, as well as expanding the original 35-year old hospital kitchen and laundry. Additional to this, all the bathrooms in the nursing unit will be upgraded and all baths replaced with showers. The private rooms will each have its own bathroom. Last but not least, the public toilets and nursing station will get a facelift.
Construction will start during June 2025 and completed in March 2026. Unfortunately there will be some temporary inconveniences, such as potential increased noise levels in the nursing unit. The work in the bathrooms will be phased and only one bathroom at a time will be out of order. We will do our best to accommodate patients in affected rooms.
We would like to thank our community in advance for their understanding during this period but believe you will benefit from the improved facility. Our supporting doctors will also have a modern and safe theatre complex in which they can operate.
Your feedback is valuable and we are available to address any questions or concerns. You can contact Isabel Heigan, the Hospital General Manager at isabel.heigan@mediclinic.co.za.
