Mediclinic Hermanus is commencing preparations for an 18-bed temporary ward on the Emergency Centre side of the hospital.
The expansion forms part of our ongoing investment in increasing capacity to support the healthcare needs of our patients and the broader Hermanus community. The project has received the necessary approval from the Overstrand Municipality.
Impact on Emergency Centre parking
Construction activities will affect parking in and around the Emergency Centre. As parking in the immediate area will be limited during the construction period, patients and visitors are asked to use the following alternative parking areas:
- Hospital Street – across from MacMillan House
Ravenscroft Street – opposite SANSA
Main hospital parking area – accessible via Ravenscroft Street, under the shaded solar parking
Our security team will be available to assist with directions and help patients and visitors access the appropriate parking areas.
If you are visiting the Emergency Centre or one of our specialists, please:
- Allow additional time for your journey and arrival at the hospital.
- Do not park in the affected Emergency Centre area.
- Follow the directions provided by our security team.
We recognise that the construction may cause some inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation while this important work is underway.
The expansion will enable Mediclinic Hermanus to increase capacity and continue supporting the healthcare needs of our growing community.
