Diploma and Certificate level qualifications
Diploma and Certificate level qualifications are industry specific qualifications that allow students to enter the healthcare profession.
A Diploma level qualification is 2-3-year programme at NQF Level 6. The nursing diploma programme allows you to register with the SANC as a general nurse. The emergency medical care diploma leads to registration as a Paramedic with the HPCSA.
A Higher Certificate level qualification is a 1-year programme at NQF Level 5. The nursing higher certificate programme allows you to register with the SANC as an auxiliary nurse. The emergency medical care higher certificate leads to registration with the HPCSA as an Emergency Care Assistant.

- Select a convenient Learning Centre you wish to study at.
- Review the registration requirements.
- Only register if you meet the minimum requirements.
