Dr Ferdi Marais

Dr Ferdi Marais was born and raised in Somerset West, where he attended Somerset West Primary School and later Hottentots-Holland High School.

During his training as a senior registrar in Urology, Dr Marais received the award for Best Postgraduate Research. He was also recognised at the South African Urological Association (SAUA) Biennial Congress in 2012, where he received the award for Best Registrar Presentation.

Dr Marais spent two years working alongside Dr Frans van Wijk at the Pretoria Urology Hospital, where he developed advanced expertise in female pelvic organ prolapse surgery and the surgical management of male and female urinary incontinence.

Dr Marais has a special interest in the management of urinary stone disease, uro-gynaecology, and the diagnosis and treatment of male and female urinary incontinence. He is also a Certified Da Vinci Solo Robotic Surgeon.

He is committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate care tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
