The cardiac team comprises cardiothoracic surgeons, anaesthetists, cardiologists, medic technologists and supplementary services. Our cardiologists are supported by a team of professional nurses – many with specialised qualifications in high care.

All the private specialists have consulting rooms on the hospital premises. We pride ourselves on the acute cardiac care services rendered at our hospital. Patients coming through the Emergency Centre – for example, with chest pains – are immediately triaged and evaluated. Evaluation determines either immediate thrombolysis (clots) or primary and rapid percutaneous intervention in the Catheterisation Laboratory.

THE CARDIOTHORACIC AND CARDIOLOGY SERVICES CONSIST OF:

• Angiograms – both femoral and radial
• Coronary stents and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)

• TILT table tests
