Sandton Medi-Clinic is situated in the northern part of Johannesburg in Gauteng.  The hospital is one of the biggest hospitals in Gauteng and continues to maintain its position in a highly competitive market.

Visiting hours

At the interest of our patients, please adhere strictly to visiting hours.  Visitors are limited to two per patient at a time.

General units: 
10:00 – 11:00, 15:00 - 16:00 and 19:00 - 20:00

Adult intensive care unit : 
10:00 – 11:00, 15:00 – 16:00 and 19:00 – 20:00; family members only and at the unit manager's discretion.

Medical unit: 
15:00 - 16:00 and 19:00 - 20:00

Maternity unit:
08:00 – 10:00 and 14:00 – 20:00
Our maternity unit has controlled access for 10 nominated people, limited to 4 at one time to allow for maximum rest.

Neonatal and paediatric ICU: 
Due to the extremely strict infection control measures in this unit, only parents of patients would be allowed in this unit, with unrestricted access with the exception of the following times: 06:30 – 09:30 and 18:30 – 19:30.          Grandparents : Day of birth and Sundays from 14:00 – 16:00
Siblings : Day of birth and Saturdays from 15:00 – 16:00

Obstetrics unit:
10:00 - 12:00, 14:30 - 16:30 and 19:30 - 20:30

Paediatric unit:  
Parents: unrestricted visiting hours.
There is a bedside sleepover facility for one family member should you wish to utilise this.
Other visitors: 10:00 – 11:00, 15:00 - 16:00 and 19:00 - 20:00
