Pietermaritzburg Medi-Clinic is set in a serene, indigenous garden on the banks of the Umzunduzi River. This multidisciplinary hospital serves the community of Pietermaritzburg and the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, and is superbly equipped with the latest technology.
At the interest of our patients, please adhere strictly to visiting hours. Visitors are limited to two per patient at a time.
General and surgical units:
11:00 – 12:00, 15:00 - 16:00, 18:00 - 20:00
Intensive and high care units:
11:00 – 12:00, 15:00 - 16:00, 19:00 - 20:00
Only immediate family and no children under 12.
Obstetrics unit:
11:00 – 12:00, 15:00 - 16:00, 19:00 - 20:00
Partners and siblings – no restriction until 21:00.
Orthopaedic and neuro-surgical units:
11:00 – 12:00, 15:00 - 16:00, 19:00 - 20:00
Paediatric unit:
11:00 – 12:00, 15:00 - 16:00, 18:00 - 20:00
Parents: no restriction. One parent may stay overnight with the child.
