Medi-Clinic Southern Africa is providing the medical support equipment for the Human Polar Bear, Lewis Pugh’s cold-water swim attempt near the summit of Everest to highlight the effects of global warming.
The private hospital group sponsored an advanced life support jump kit, complete with monitors and resuscitation equipment, and clothing for the expedition medic, Dr Sean Gottschalk, whose job it is to ensure that Pugh and his team stay in good shape given the extreme conditions.
Medi-Clinic Southern Africa is committed to environmental responsibility as part of its sustainable development strategy.
