Medi-Clinic Corporation Ltd (Medi-Clinic) wishes to announce that Danie Meintjes will succeed Louis Alberts as CEO of Medi-Clinic during the first quarter of 2010, when Mr Alberts will reach the group’s compulsory retirement age.
Mr Meintjes joined Medi-Clinic from the Human Resources Department of the then Rembrandt Group (now Remgro) in 1985. He was the manager of Sandton Medi-Clinic for some years, before he was appointed as the Head of the Medi-Clinic Human Resources Department, and has been a member of the Medi- Clinic’s Executive Committee since 1996. In January 2006 he moved to Dubai where he is currently the CEO of Emirates Healthcare, the company housing Medi-Clinic’s activities in the Middle East.
Mr Meintjes is 53 years old. He is married to Petro and they have two daughters.
Medi-Clinic owns and operates private hospitals in South Africa, Namibia, Switzerland and Dubai with a total bed capacity of approximately 8 000 beds.
