Mediclinic Southern Africa represents the Southern African operations of Mediclinic International, the 3rd largest listed acute hospital operator outside of the USA.

Mediclinic Southern Africa has more than 8 000 beds in 52 multidisciplinary hospitals and two day clinics in South Africa and Namibia.

Mediclinic International also owns Hirslanden, the largest private healthcare group in Switzerland, as well as Mediclinic Middle East, the largest private healthcare group in the United Arab Emirates. The group also holds a minority interest of 29.9% in Spire Healthcare plc, a leading private hospital group in the United Kingdom and also listed on the LSE.

Summary group results for the year ended 31 March 2016.
In 2005 Mediclinic created the Mpilo Trusts, allowing us to recognise and reward staff through the allocation of participation rights linked to Mediclinic shares “Units” to individuals who had loyally served us over a period of time.
Mediclinic Southern Africa wishes to point out that the training programme in question has been initiated by a group of doctors in an effort to address an identified urgent training need for 4th and 5th year medical students.
