Medi-Clinic Southern Africa represents the Southern African operations of Medi-Clinic Corporation, one of the largest private hospital groups in the world.

Medi-Clinic Southern Africa has nearly 7 000 beds in more than 50 multidisciplinary hospitals in South Africa and Namibia.

Medi-Clinic Corporation also has interests in Switzerland where it owns the largest private hospital group, Hirslanden as well as the Middle East, where it holds the controlling share in Emirates Healthcare, a private healthcare group in the United Arab Emirates.

Private hospital group Medi-Clinic maintained its consistent growth pattern in the year ended 31 March 2010, with a 37% increase in core headline earnings and a solid performance in its South African and international operations.
