Parenting Weekend

If you are interested in attending a Parenting Weekend, please e-mail mediclinicbaby@mediclinic.co.za or SMS the word 'weekend' to 37838.

The Medi-Clinic Baby Parenting Programme has been designed to assist pregnant couples during their pregnancy to enjoy a special and safe birth and parenting experience. To accommodate the busy lifestyle of many young couples, we have tailor-made a special antenatal course presented during a weekend away at a luxury hotel.

This weekend offers much more than just information and lectures. Couples can enjoy quality time while being spoiled with luxury accommodation and excellent food. All lectures are presented by specialists in their field and a wide variety of topics are covered, e.g.:

Childbirth options (vaginal, assisted and caesarian delivery)

Pain relief options

Baby care, immunisation, etc.

Breastfeeding

Infant stimulation

Childproofing your relationship

The Medi-Clinic Baby Parenting weekends will be available nationally from 2010. Choose a date and location to suit your special needs. (Dates are subject to change.)

Baby Expo

Medi-Clinic showcase our Medi-Twinkle Parenting programme at the Baby Expo’s held in Johannesburg and Cape Town annually.

The Medi-Twinkle stand of Medi-Clinic once again received a top award at the annual Baby Expo at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg being held over an extended weekend period, Thursday to Sunday, during May. A Certificate of Excellence for marketing the Medi-Twinkle product at the stand was awarded to us. This Baby Expo is an important date on expectant and new parents’ calendars. They use this event to search for and buy all they need for their new baby/ies.

This year 27,957 visitors used the opportunity to shop and learn at the 185 exhibitors with over 400 of the top parenting and baby brands on display from all over the world.

Our Medi-Twinkle stand attracted a variety of visitors ranging from former patients to young woman still only planning a pregnancy. We had the opportunity to tell them about the benefits when having a baby at a Medi-Clinic hospital. They are very concerned about making the right decisions regarding their pregnancy and caring for their new babies. We are convinced that at Medi-Clinic we not only offer them a variety of value added products e.g. the Mother and Baby Gift bag, footprint certificate of their new born, a photo of their baby on the website, etc but also the commitment of quality care.
